Benton, Wisconsin Thomas A. "Tom" Peart, 73, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Thursday, September 17, 2015, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Benton with Rev. David Flangan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Benton is in charge of arrangements. Tom was born on January 21, 1942, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Jack and Margaret (Richardson) Peart. He married Frances Anne Rock on September 16, 1961. She preceded him in death on February 7, 1994. He married Sandra Smythe on May 18, 1996. Tom worked at Eagle Pitcher Mine and was the "last man underground in the state of Wisconsin." He also worked for the Lafayette County Highway Department. Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles, going snowmobiling and his family. He would do anything for anyone and took very good care of those he loved. Survivors include his wife, Sandy; three daughters, Angel (Eric) Thom, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Dallas Engle, of Benton, and Amie (Travis) Clark, of Shullsburg; a son, Ray (Michelle Demott) Peart, of Mazomanie; four sisters, Jean (Marty) Kunkel, of Hazel Green, Mary (Bob) Hartzell, of Warren, Illinois, Janice (Ted) Blaine, of Benton, and Lois (Shirley Zimmer) Peart, of Montfort; two brothers, Harold (Phyllis) Peart, of Shullsburg, and Bob Peart, of Benton; six grandchildren, Teena Peart, Riley, Wyatt and Zoey Engle, and Logan and Ian Thom; and his special friends, Donna Kane and Justin Engle. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Peart.
