Sr. Patricia V. Cherry, Op

Hazel Green, Wisconsin Sister Patricia Cherry, OP, died September 28, 2021, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, Wisconsin. She was born January 9, 1931, to David and Helen (Newcombe) Cherry in New York. There were eight children. She is survived by one brother, Francis; extended family; and her Dominican community. Sister Patricia had degrees in elementary education and an RN in nursing. This gentle, kind and loving woman spent her life teaching or offering nursing care and support in Illinois; Washington, D.C.; Minnesota; Maryland; New York; Wisconsin; Iowa; and Pennsylvania. Sister Patricia enjoyed cooking, keeping current on world affairs and sharing fully in community life in recent years at the Mound and the Villa. Services will be held at Sinsinawa on October 8-9, 2021. Sister Patricia sees clearly now in the face of the living God.
