Bob was born on September 14, 1943, in Benton, Wisconsin, to Earl and Helen (Strunk) Farrey. He graduated from Benton High School in 1961. Bob married Rochelle M. Stockel on June 27, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Hazel Green. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2018.

Bob worked as a welder and supervisor at John Deere Tractor Works for over 30 years. He loved sports including golf, bowling, slow-pitch softball and basketball. He also raced stock cars before having children and then continued attending races. Bob enjoyed watching all sports including high school competitions, often running the scoreboard. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. After retiring, Bob and Rochelle moved to Florida, where he worked at the John Deere test site and formed many lifelong friendships.

Bob always put his family first, involving them in all of his favorite activities and constantly helping them with a multitude of projects. He enjoyed family trips to Disney World and California. Bob spoiled everyone he knew, especially his grandchildren. To family and friends alike, he was known as “Uncle Bob” and will be remembered for his generous, caring and witty nature.

Survivors include his daughter, Krista (Frank Jr.) Marrese, Kenosha, WI; his son, Jeff Farrey, Waukesha, WI; three beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Alex and Emily; his sister, Joanne Lange, Platteville, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle Farrey; his parents; his step-father, Leo Ganshirt; four siblings, Jane (Eldon) Curwen, Dick (Alice) Farrey, Lillian (Arthur) Coppes, and Junior (Irene) Farrey; and a brother-in-law, Louie Lange.
