Obituary

Nola M. Harvey, 88, of DeForest, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Hazel Green, Wisconsin, with Fr. Joseph Bellamkonda officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11:45 a.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, Wisconsin is assisting the family.

Nola was born on June 2, 1937, in Patch Grove, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Pricilla (Spangler) Finn. She graduated from Patch Grove High School and then studied home economics at UW-Madison. Nola married Thomas Harvey Jr. on October 26, 1957 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2010.

Nola was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and Tom ran the family farm together while raising their children. Nola was an accomplished musician, serving as the choir leader at St. Francis de Sales Church for many years. She was a piano teacher and often served as accompanist for local school music activities. Nola worked as a teaching assistant in the Southwestern School District for 17 years. She was a 4H leader for 20 years, as well as a member of the Hazel Green Women’s Club and the Homemakers’ Club. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and cooking. Nola and Tom eventually moved to Apple Canyon Lake for 20 years, and wintered in McCallan, Texas for many years. Nola will be remembered for her positive, encouraging and generous nature.

She is survived by her daughters, Tamala Jean (Mark) Salzmann and Teri Joann (Mike Murray) Harvey, both of DeForest, WI, and Teresa Jill (Steve) Ploch, Beaver Dam, WI; her sons, Tony Joe (Linda) Harvey, Dubuque, IA, John William (Le’Ann) Harvey, Westland, MI, and Ted Jerome (Vickie) Harvey, Queen Creek, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alverna Kaczmarek, Manitowish Waters, WI and Marcia (LaVern) Siverling, Reedsburg, WI; a brother, Bruce (Joan) Finn, Prairie du Chien, WI; and Tom’s sisters, Jane (Pete) Fager, Helen Dugan and Dorothy (Ron) Rasque.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Harvey Jr.; her parents; a daughter, Trudy, in infancy; a special friend, Clarence Battey; brothers-in-law, Harry Kaczmarek and Dan Dugan; and a sister-in-law, Lois (Don) Temperly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nola’s name may be sent to the Casey-McNett Funeral Home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI 53807.
