Obituary

Mary J. “Jayne” Menne , 88, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Potosi, WI, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tennyson, WI, with Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday, July 17 at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, WI is assisting the family.

Jayne was born on July 22, 1937 in Tennyson, WI, to Ollie and Ruth (Udelhofen) Bierman. She graduated from St. Andrew High School in 1951. Jayne was united in marriage to Frank Menne on April 10, 1956 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2015.

Jayne and Frank farmed from 1956 to 1979 in Potosi; then owned and operated the Roadhouse in Tennyson from 1979 to 2000. Jayne retired from Swiss Colony.

Survivors include her children, Janice (Dan) Kittoe, Anchorage, AK, Jeanine (Tom) Robbins, Potosi, WI, Cindy (Rich) Koeller, Sun Prairie, WI, Kris (Pat) Doyle, Hazel Green, WI, and Ted (Sandy) Menne, Muscoda, WI; 13 grandchildren, Kari Kittoe, Robynn (John) Richards, Rachel (Ross) Harrison, T.J. Robbins, Crystin (Nikki) Robbins, Dan (Danielle) Koeller, Alex (Dani) Koeller, Katie (Mitch) Droeszler, Evan Doyle, Ross Doyle, Will Doyle, Kyle Menne and Kassee Janisch; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, MaDonna Ashbrook; and two sisters-in-law, Marlene Bierman and Sharon Bierman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Menne; her parents; a sister, Doris (Bob) Doerring; and three brothers, Nick Bierman, Sam (Janice) Bierman and Dewayne Bierman.
