Marita C. Linden, 89, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Cuba City, Wisconsin, with Rev. David Flanagan and Fr. Thomas Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 12 at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, Wisconsin, and from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
Marita was born on July 30, 1936, in Menominee, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Dorothy Wubben. She married Dale Linden on October 15, 1957, at B.V.M. Church in Menominee, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2010.
Marita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After raising her children, she often babysat for her grandchildren, and she loved attending all of their activities. Marita enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, going to the casino, and going dancing with Dale in their younger years. She was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Church. Marita was an accomplished cook, baker and seamstress, often baking with her grandchildren and mending their special items. She was a fan of all kinds of sports at every level.
She is survived by her children, Diane Farrey, Benton, WI, Mark (Tina) Linden, Cuba City, WI, Jane (Tim Woods) Euler, Warren, IL, Lisa Griffin and Kevin (Ann) Linden, both of Apple River, IL; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Wubben.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Linden; her parents; a daughter, Donna Linden; a sister, Coletta Wubben; a brother, Vernon Wubben; and a son-in-law, Jamie Farrey.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Zachary Droeszler and the staff of Southwest Health Center in Platteville for their compassionate care of Marita.
