Dubuque, Iowa Marion A. Cummins Kiefer, 83, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Cuba City, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cuba City, with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery also in Cuba City. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the wake/scripture service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of the service at the funeral home. She was born in Cuba City on June 24, 1928, the daughter of Michael "Mack" and Marcella (Conlon) Harty. She married Paul Cummins of Cuba City, who preceded her in death in 1966. She later married Joseph Kiefer, and he also preceded her in death in 1989. Marion worked for many years at both Caradco and Macy's, and often spoke fondly of her friends from there. She is survived by a son, Eric Cummins, of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Anastasha Cummins, of Herber Springs, Arkansas, Marcella (Stephan) Frank, of West Allis, Wisconsin, and Stephen Cummins, of Dubuque; and a great-grandson, Bishop Wayne Frank, born February 18, 2012; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Clarice Bode, and Velma Lorenz; two brothers, Leonard and Lawrence Harty; and a step- daughter, Joan (Robert) Christianson.
