Gregory Bernard Busch was born on February 22, 1968, to Robert and Myrtle (Hoppman) Busch in Cuba City, Wisconsin. He graduated from Cuba City High School in 1986. A lifelong farmer at heart, Greg found his greatest joy working on the Busch family farm “Bumble B. Dairy”, which he proudly operated until 2020. Most recently, he shared his knowledge and passion for agriculture as Assistant Enterprise Manager at the UW–Platteville Pioneer Farm. Greg was a life-long 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Greg met the love of his life, Jill (Runde), at a high school graduation party in 1987. The two were married on May 8, 1993, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sinsinawa, beginning more than three decades together filled with love, laughter, and family.

Known for his quick wit, kind heart, and easygoing nature, Greg made friends wherever he went. He was an avid animal lover, especially fond of dogs, and cherished time outdoors. Whether golfing, camping, traveling, or enjoying a hunting or fishing trip, Greg embraced life with humor and warmth, creating countless memories with family and friends. He was a loyal friend and a steady presence—always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or simply be there when needed.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Jill; his children, Jacob “Jake” Busch and Jordan Busch, along with Jordan’s fiancé, Granite Goeller; his mother, Myrtle Busch; and his siblings and in-laws: Rita (Phil) Houtakker, Tony (Teresa) Busch, Karen (John) Steinhart, Carol (Randy) Slaats, Lori (John) Masbruch, Nancy (Jim) Wiederholt, LuAnn (Rick) Stanton, Deb (Dan) Steinhoff, Tim (Cheryl) Busch, Angie (Don Jr.) Langmeier, Kelly (Jeff) Landon, Eric (Jennifer) Busch, and Stacy Busch.
