Sr. Vicki Lauria, Op

Sister Vicki Lauria, OP, died November 17, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville, Wisconsin. She was born to Dominick and Anna (Rinaldi) Lauria on October 8, 1929, in Albany, N.Y. She was the youngest of three children. Sister Vicki is survived by nieces and her Dominican family. A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Sinsinawa. Sister Vicki chose to donate her body to science. At a later date, her cremains will be buried at Sinsinawa.

Sister Vicki entered the Kenosha Dominicans in 1964. She taught in a variety of locations until 1997 when she transferred to the Sinsinawa Dominicans. Over the next many years, she served as a councilor/care giver in family care residences. From 1993 until 2008 she was an excellent and respected instructor in GED and ESL. Sister Vicki was a quiet person. She was an avid reader, cared about world affairs, was humble and down to earth. She was faithful to prayer day by day.
