Hildegard A. Vorwald

Hazel Green, Wisconsin Hildegard A. Vorwald, 97, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, Iowa. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Hildegard was born on August 1, 1917, in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of August and Rosa (Steffen) Trenkamp. She married Raymond "Ranger" Vorwald on April 8, 1938, in Galena, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1961. During her life she worked at Weber's Meats in Cuba City and retired from Southwestern School District in Hazel Green at age 72. She was a member of NAIM and St. Francis de Sales Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include her daughter Jane (Richard) Galligan's children, Mike (Lori) Galligan, Sheila (Bob) Peth and Maureen (Brett) LaBrie; her daughter, Joyce (Fran) Rowe, of East Dubuque, Illinois, and their children, Marc (Nancy) Rowe, Jamie (Teresa) Rowe and Vicki (Scott) Kluesner; her daughter, Linda (Bill) Johll, of Florida, and their children, BJ (Renee) Johll, Toni Johll and Teri (Bryan) Feyen; sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Albert (Kathleen) Trenkamp, of Dyersville; a brother-in-law, Francis Fangman, of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Sally Trenkamp, of Dyersville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jane, on March 22, 2010; a son-in-law, Richard, on August 3, 2010; three sisters; and three brothers.
